Table C2 Copy Methods
The following Authorized Copying Methods are included in Table C2 of the Content Participant Agreement and the Content Provider Agreement:
1. Copying method whereby Decrypted AACS Content is copied and re-encrypted so as to be protected by Kaleidescape’s proprietary digital rights management system (KDRM), which copying method satisfies all of the following requirements:
- The entity performing the copying method is an Adopter in good standing that has executed an Adopter Agreement that remains in effect.
- The decryption of the AACS Content and subsequent copying and re-encryption with KDRM is performed by, or under the direction of, qualified employees of such Adopter in a secure environment. The method is not authorized for implementation in Licensed Products that are available to consumers.
- The copying is authorized pursuant to a written agreement between such Adopter and the Content Participant or Content Provider whose content is being copied, which agreement remains in effect and clearly identifies the content of the Content Participant or Content Provider authorized for copying. Copying of any Decrypted AACS Content other than as provided in the preceding sentence is prohibited.
Capitalized terms used above and not otherwise defined shall have the meaning given them in the Content Participant Agreement and the Content Provider Agreement.
